Was an ABE assigned to CATS. Reported aboard Tico from “A” School at Lakehurst in AUG ’72. Just a 17yr old kid from OK startin to make my way. Mostly did water brakes and ran holdback. After pickin up Apollo 17 went home on leave to OKC and bought my 1st car, a little ’73 Triumph Spitfire. After decommissioning at 32nd St went to the Connie CV-64 for a Westpac, then Miramar enroute to Crash Fire on NALF San Clemente Island. Got out for awhile, went into the Army and retired out as a CPT in the Infantry. A good career but have always felt my time on Ticonderoga started it all. Talked to C.V. Stewart V-2 (Retired Chief) a few yrs back. Hope past friends are healthy and cont to live their dreams. Thanks to each of you.
