I am a former Hancock crew member and I have a cruisebook from the 69-70 deployment that I would like to give to someone who served aboard at that time. I was the Public Affairs Officer on Hancock’s last Westpac in 1975, and I am not giving up the cruisebook that my little office produced! :) The 69-70 book was given to me, so I am not looking to make any money on it. If you can show me that you either served on the ship for the 69-70 deployment or had a relative who did, and can assure me that you do not already have a cruisebook, I will happily turn it over to you. This comes with a curse: if you turn around and sell it you will go straight to Davey Jones’ Locker!
My Father ‘Ray Argubright’ kept a journal aboard the Hancock WWII
I put together a photo journal along with photos of individual crew members that served aboard in WWII. You can download the free journal at https://payhip.com/b/6Tyc And if you have photos of family members who served on board at this time and want them included email me at hancockww2@gmail.com
My grandfather Kenneth A. McKenzie served from 1958- 1960 as the yeoman 3class. My grandma said he was on the back of the ship telling planes they were to high or low. Anyone that knew him email me at ridingpbr@yahoo.com
I served from 1971 to 1975 in v-2 division arresting gear some of the best times of my life made some really great friends too bad we all went our own way when we got out
