Served on the Indy From 1976-1979. Three years six months 27 days in deck department 2nd. Div. Had a really big time.

Served on the Independence from 63 to 66 in R DIV.as a pipe fitter.Left the service in June 66 and live on Long Island,N.Y..

After Basic and School in Memphis and Oceana, served in VF84 from 1963 to 1967. Was aboard Independence for Caribbean cruses, West-Pac and Med Cruse.
1965 and 1966 respectively. We picked up F4B’s in Key West in 1963. And was stationed at Oceana Va. for the rest of my tour. Aboard the Indy I was assigned to AQ Maintenance Lab, at Hanger Bay Level. Stayed in contact over the years with Al Davis from Mass. Who passed in 2012, Vince Scheetz from Pa. and Dick Clookey from northern NY. Most memorable Port of Call, Olongcpo Zambales,Subic Bay.I took a lot of pictures while in, but lost them all in a fire in 1978. Found this site looking at pictures on internet of Olongcpo.
