Years Served: 1960-1963…I was a young black shoe junior officer and a plankowner.I served as the ship’s second legal officer and a fleet officer of the deck underway. It was a great time in my life.

PAUL CHEVALIER

Years Served: 1961-1962…Assigned to Kitty Hawk nucleus crew, Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, for completion of construction and outfitting. RM2 in OR Division. Enjoyed trial runs, trip to Norfolk, GTMO, South America and around the Horn and into San Francisco. Many fond memories of that assignment and the shipmates I had the pleasure of serving with.

Years Served: 1969/WESTPAC CRUISE…ABOARD USS KITTYHAWK FOR 1969 VIETNAM WESTPAC CRUISE.SERVED WITH.VA-65 WAS ABOARD USS FORRESTAL DURING THE TRAGIC FIRE.STILL LIVE AND WORK IN MY HOMETOWN OF INDIANAPOLIS.
