I am sorry to announce my father, Frank D. Sanor, passed away in August 2006. I was hoping he could get re-aquainted with some of his shipmates but it was not to be.

Edward M. Prew
Years Served: May, 1958-November, 1959
My first ship, right out of Radar School at the South Annex in Norfolk.Service on board USS ROSS was he most exciting experience of my then young Navy life. In fact, I'm still in touch with some of my old shipmates.

Winston I. Claiborne, Jr.
Years Served: August 1951 to March 1956
Had a great tour aboard the Ross. First ship out of boot camp. Still keep in touch with a great number of shipmates through reunions and e-mail. I worked in the ship's office as a YN and later became a court reporter. Working with shipmate's records, I became familiar with a lot of the names. Retired in August of 1970.
