Years Served: 1957, 1958, 1959…My three years on the Wadleigh were very eventful and rewarding. This was my first ship right out of the Navy class A school for Electronic Technicians. Now, I could put all they taught me to practical use and start to really learn about electronics. Extra bonus was being on the best damn destroyer in the fleet with the best seamen anywhere. Also, the Officers were great and easy to work for. I have always considered my time in the Navy as GOD sent and I matured as a man.
Years Served: 1958-1961…GREATEST CREW IN THE NAVY BROTHERS FOREVER BEST TIME OF MY LIFE

My father, John Logue died in January, 1987. He often talked about the USS Wadleigh when I was little girl, born in 1945.
My first ship, one year after boot. Great time and good buddies. served 1960-1961
