Welcome to the USS Barton DD-722 Guestbook Forum

Served on the Barton from 4/2/60 till 1963.
EM3. Med cruise in 61-62. Cuban blockade in 62. I remember Verlie Craft. Gerald Judson (Jughead) Ron Campa, DJ Burton.
EM school was great! Made my living as a marine electrician, electrical trouble shooter, all over the world. Retired as a relay specialist with an electric utility company.

I know it’s a long shot, but I’m trying to find any information I can about Robert A Hill. The only thing I know is he served on the Barton 1959 – 1960 as a cook. He and my mother divorced in 1960 when I was 5 years old. Just trying to trace my genealogy and maybe find some relatives on my father’s side of the family.

I would like to pass on to the crew of the USS Barton that FTA3 Robert Stephen Miller (Steve), who served on the USS Barton 1954 – 1958 as a Fire Control Technician passed away Sunday, April 20th, 2025 at the age of 89. I am hoping there may be fellow service members here who knew him.

Served on Barton from 1958 to 1960 in the 2nd division. Enjoyed Med Cruise and Suez Canal. Would enjoy reunion 4434240110
