I served on the Purdy July 1946- March 1948- WW 2 was not technically over until Dec of 1946 so our duty was to find and destroy floating mines during our Med cruise. Then were put in the mothball fleet in Quonset pt . Three of our crewmembers had served in combat when she was hit by a suicide jap, killing 14 crew. i’d like to know if any of my shipmates are still around. I really enjoyed my two years aboard “Ol 734—-” QM 3rd class Sandy Sinclair age 90
