Years Served: 1971 – 1973…I met a lot of great people on the Southerland. Bob Jacques, John Stice, Chief Tank. The cruise was memorable. I got to see several places my father was at or on during WWII. Ford Is., Guam, Midway
Years Served: 1944-1945…Was SoM 3/c, a Plankowner. Great ship and crew, the best skipper Cdr. Russel (Rusty) C Williams. Too few of us originals left.
