Years Served: 1968-1972…My first ship after a year at Greatlakes Gunnersmate school, WA division. I had a great time on the Kyes. Was saddened when I heard that it had been sold to Tiawon. Years Served: aug 1956 / nov 1958…Hi Shipmates Do any of you remember when we were around the atomic testing islands in 1957 or 1958 I know we went on to Enewetak or Bikini Island , but I cant remember the date or year. thanks, herb Turner turn8957@bellsouth.net
Years Served: Aug 1956 / Nov1958…I was in 1st div when I first went aboard the Kyes. Then I went to the Torpedo group. Spent two good cruises on the Kyes and had a lot of good times then.
