Years Served: 1964-1967…I enjoyed my tour and have some fond memories of people and places. I especially remember our ship’s dog Suki
Years Served: 1961 to 1963…I WAS A BMSN, AND WORKED ON THE DECK FORCE. WAS ON THE SOLANT AMITY CRUISE, AND THE MED CRUISE IN 1962. GOT TO SEE QUITE A FEW PLACES I NEVER WOULD HAVE GONE TO THANKS TO THE U.S.N.
Years Served: 1968 ti 1973…I boarded the Sherman in the yards at Boston. I remember learning more about the Navy and myself on her than any where else. My first port was Jamacia and I learned a lot there too. I remember our second trip to the yards and the remodeling of the sonar berthing area. I left the Serman to go to the USS Barry to go to Greese.
