Ran across this site when browsing about the Bouncin' Bobby F De 419 or Robert F. Keller. Happy New Year 2008. I am a Sonarman 3/c and I am Secretary Co-chairman of CAP DESA ( Capital District ~ Destroyer Escort Sailors Association ~ Albany, NY) home of the U.S.S. Slater DE 766 and a tour guide aboard the Slater.
I served on the Keller after graduation from the SONAR School Key West, Florida in the Class 254. I was aboard the Keller when it was moored at the Naval Gun Factory, Washington, D.C. 1954 through 1955.

I served aboard the U.S.S. Robert F. Keller as IC2 1959 and was discharged from there 8/22/59. I served with a EM-2 by the name of Samuel F. Sisco. Underway, we stood 4 on and 4 off switchboard watches in the engine room.
For years I have been trying to locate Sam Sisco and any help would be greatly appreciated. Enjoyed my tour on the Keller as a Tin Can Sailor.
