My good friend HMCS Brad Hernandez was the IDC attached to this ship in the mid 90’s. Our ships met up underway during a deployment, I was the IDC on the USS Samuel Eliot Morrison (FFG-13), and I rode our small boat, with my Captain (Gary Morgan) over to meet him while our ships were both anchored at sea. Pretty cool experience!
Joined ship in Mayport for final voyage to Philadelphia turnover to USNR.
Law enforcement ops. Lost billet when ship moved to Staten Island.
