Years Served: 1985-1987…1985-1987 MACHINIST MATE FIRST CLASS WORK IN #1 MAIN MACHINERY SPACE ONE OF THE BEST SHIPS I SERVED ON!

Years Served: 1966-1969…Was in FOX Division when the old gal was a CVA. Two WestPacs while I was there.

Years Served: ON THE CONNIE ONLY 3 MOUNTHS…I WAS ONLY ON THE SHIP A SHORT TIME. I WENT TO A@B AND C SCHOOLS FOR STEAMCATS AND PLANED TO MAKE THE NAVY MY LIFE BUT FOUND OUT I HAD INER EAR TROUBLE AND COULD NOT GET MY SEA LEGS AND WAS DISCHARGED ON NOV 8 1971. I WENT THROUGH ALL OF THE SCHOOLS BUT THAY WOULD NOT LET ME STAY IN EVEN THOUGH I ASKED TO GO TO ANY LAND BASE. YOU KNOW THE NAVY IF YOU CAN,T SAIL YOU CAN,T STAY.
