Hi. My dad was on the Greene from 1954-1956. He worked on the evaps and made MM3. I followed in dad’s footsteps and joined the navy. He passed away in November. We had been estranged for many years after he married the second time after mom passed. I am hoping that someone here knew him and would be willing to scan me some pictures that might have my dad or even mom in them. I would love to hear any sea stories you might have that I could include with my family tree that I am working on.

Looking for my biological dad who may have served late 1940s to late 1950s. Last name may have been Johnson and he may
Have been a steward or mess cook. I am of mixed race so I do not know what his race was. I think most stewards and mess cooks were of the black race.
Thanks,
Ella Collier
