Served on the Green from 62 through 64, lots of good times with a good friend Billie Butler from Wyoming.
1958-1962 Sonar
I served on the Eugene A Greene from spring 1970 its Decommissioning 1973. I was in the Damage Control department.
Served 1954 to 1956, in the “A” gang working for Bradshaw and it was the beginning of a 20 year career. I really learned a lot from Bradshaw and he pushed me along for a year and a half. After submarine school I went to Pearl Harbor to board the USS Carp SS 338 and began a career in the submarine service. After retirement, I came to Alaska to begin a flying career and drifted into a couple businesses that turned out to be very successful and now just kine of take up space. I published a book called SUBMARINES, AIRPLANES , AND A GOOD LIFE IN ALASKA.. I look forward to hearing from old (and young) shipmates.
