Years Served: 1966-1967…I Served as and Engineman on the Ship for one year , made a West-Pac Cruise and we were off the Coast of Viet-Nam , on the way back to the States i Vol. for In-Country Viet-Nam and of Course i had Orders pretty fast, I Served with Naval Support DaNang and Ran the Rivers on LCM-8’s with Supplies and Fuel, First on the Cau-Viet River just south of the DMZ then farthers South to the Perfume River Running into the City of Hue, where the Biggest Battle of the Viet-Nam War was . There were also a Few more Sailors from the Ship that i met up with in Viet-Nam and they also Served in the same Units i did . The Three years i spent in the Navy were the Best and Wish i Could Serve again today. I’am Retired from a Gas & Electric Co. in NY and Live in Florida now Near Disney and Enjoy the Weather year Round here. ’ God Bless Our Troops Around The World ’ David
