1964 – 1966 My dad Jon C Eckman served on USS Gilmore with 2 men John Little and Jerry Gray. Trying to find information about the men and others my dad served with. Also history and pictures of ship and men. Having a hard time finding that time period. Thank you!
Does any know of Richard (Ricky) Adams or Adamson who served on the USS Gilmore. I met Ricky, (I believe it was spring of 1973) on Coco Beach, Florida while sub was temporarily docked. I was living in Atlanta, GA at the time. The sub was then temporarily docked in Charleston, SC before leaving for the Mediterranean.
Through the years, I have wondered what happened to this good looking, smooth talking, sailor who broke my heart.
My girlfriend and I have been researching and were hoping we could find someone who remembers her stepfather Gerald Gullison. He was a Ship Fitter 3rd Class on the Gilmore during the mid 60’s. Boarded in Charleston SC. Thank you for any help.
