I apologise if this is presumptuous……I am reminiscing….I served in the WRNS and was drafted at HMS Pembroke in Chatham, Kent, England. I remember going aboard USS DuPont with some fellow wrens when she was in Chatham dockyard on a visit to the UK. That would have been 1973/4. We were entertained in the cinema, the film showing was Blazing Saddles! I only recall one sailors name, TJ Hollis. Was anyone in this forum onboard then? As I say, I am just going through my memories! Thanks, Sue Mearing.

Years Served: about May1972 to August 1973…I have great memories of my time on the Dupont, especially the Med-NorthLant Cruise in 1972. She was a great ship.
