Years Served: 1962 To 1965…I would like to say HEY to all the guys that served from 1962 – 1965 and hope they are all well. 8)
Years Served: 1972 – 1974…I was an STG2 on board the Sperry for her last years. I was part of the Decom crew in Philidelphia. I have alot of great memories of the ship and crew! I enjoyed Philly and the fun I had there and in New Jersey. I’d love to hear from anyone from my crew mates during this period!!
Years Served: July 1949 —-April 1951…I would be interested in contacting anyone that served on the Sperry during this period. I would like very much to hear from any one that knows of the where-abouts of Dan Jewell And Robert Moses. Also if any of the Quartermaster crew is still around try contacting me.
Years Served: 1966-1968…I would be glad to hear from anyone that served with me while in Boston or on the the good will cruise to the mid-east. Dave Ripley RD3
Years Served: 1957-1962…I am signing on behalf of my father Alfred Gunselman who passed away June 2009. My father was a machinist mate on the USS Charles S Sperry 697 and in the US Navy from 1957-1962. He was a machinist mate on the USS MCCaffrey also. I never had the opportunity to meet my father, although I was able to attend his burial as someone located me to let me know. If any of you could share information on my father or times shared, I would truly be grateful. I always wanted to know him and meet him.
