My late husband James M Holt (Navy Diver) supervised a team of Navy Divers to replace the Port Propeller underwater on the USS Jonas Ingram in Bahrain, saving the Navy mega bucks by not dry docking . He got an accommodation for this . I believe this took place in 1973,,,,wondering if anyone remembers this ?

Served on the Ingram 75-77. I was a corpsman with Chief Mabry. Ingram was in dry dock in Charleston when I arrived. Got to do the re-qualify in Gitmo. Had a wonderful North Atlantic cruise, refueling at sea with below freezing temps, followed by passing out 1oz. shots of whisky to the crew. Enjoyed my time there, and the friends I made. I still hope to this day that Imlay forgave me from giving him Dulcolax rather than Dramamine, either way, it made him forget about being sea sick, or at least as I recall.
