Years Served: 62-63…MEMORY——remember the great north Atlantic storm we were in—-100 foot waves—— port hole glass blown out on the bridge—— most of equipment on exposed decks swept away—- forward gun mount damaged. we had a good ship. I hear that when she was used for target practice, she did not go down without a fight JEFF

Years Served: 12/1972-7/1976…I met some of the best friends I ever had on that ship . I also saw some incredible places . I never thought I would miss it when I was there , but I have ever since .

Years Served: 1970 1973…It was an experience of long ago that has made permanent changes in my life some good some bad but for the most part life changing

Years Served: 1961-1963…Great experience for a young man. Loved the Med cruise and down the St Lawerance.
